U.S. Marine Corps Col. Thomas M. Bedell, the commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar presents Sgt. Maj. Marquis L. Young with the noncommissioned officer sword in place of Sgt. Maj. Jason R. Cain, who retired early December Feb. 3, 2023. Young, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, serves as the station sergeant major of MCAS Miramar.
