MAG-13 Change of Command

The commanding officer of Marine Aircraft Group 13, Col. Chris A. McPhillips, is scheduled to relinquish command to Col. Marcus B. Annibale in a ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, Friday, at 9 a.m.

McPhillips took command of MAG-13 May 31, 2013. Under his command, MAG-13 trained, equipped and deployed numerous combat elements in support of global operations to include Marine Expeditionary Units, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response and other contingency operations. His next duty assignment will be at the Office of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City.

Annibale is scheduled to assume the position of commanding officer of MAG-13 after serving with the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, Okinawa, Japan, as the assistant chief of staff, G-5 for plans, followed by the G-3 for operations.

Marine Aircraft Group 13 includes four operational flying squadrons, one Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron, and one Marine Wing Support Squadron.
