MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CAMP PENDLETON, California -- Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 469, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, is scheduled to host a memorial ceremony on the flight line at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, Wednesday at 2 p.m.
The memorial will honor six Marines that died when a UH-1Y Huey helicopter crashed north of Charikot, Nepal, May 12.
The Marines were in support of Joint Task Force 505 and were conducting humanitarian assistance and disaster-relief operations in support of recent Nepal earthquakes.
The six fallen Marines scheduled to be honored at the ceremony are:
Capt. Dustin R. Lukasiewicz, 29, and a native of Harlan, Nebraska
Capt. Christopher L. Norgren, 31, and a native of Sedgwick, Kansas
Sgt. Ward M. Johnson IV, 29, and a native of Seminole, Florida
Sgt. Eric M. Seaman, 30, and a native of Riverside, California
Cpl. Sara A. Medina, 23, and a native of Kane, Illinois
Lance Cpl. Jacob A. Hug, 22, and a native of Maricopa, Arizona
