3rd MAW Helicopter Makes Precautionary Landing

A CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 466 executed a precautionary landing at Solana Beach, Calif., after receiving a low oil pressure indicator at approximately 11:40 a.m.

The aircraft was conducting routine training and the pilots landed the aircraft safely on Solana Beach with no injuries to personnel. A Hazardous Material Team has been dispatched to clean up and assess the site. The aircraft is scheduled to return to MCAS Miramar this afternoon.
