Transitioning Ceremony from the CH-46E Sea Knight to the MV-22B Osprey

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (April 6, 2015) – A redesignation ceremony for Marine Medium Helicopter Training Squadron (HMMT) 164 is scheduled to be conducted Thursday at 1:45 p.m.

The squadron is scheduled to transition from the CH-46E Sea Knight to the MV-22B Osprey. The squadron will be redesignated from HMMT-164 to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 164.

The CH-46 has been used in military missions for more than 50 years and the Marine Corps has made the transition to the MV-22 Osprey.
