HMM-364 to “Fly the Barn”

Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364 is scheduled to conduct a commemorative flight from MCAS Camp Pendleton, Mar. 31.

The squadron was activated in 1961 and has been flying the CH-46 “Sea Knight” helicopter since 1967. After 47 years with the CH-46, HMM-364 will begin the transition to the MV-22B Osprey. To mark this occasion, the squadron will fly a mass formation of 12 aircraft, to take off and land in unison, around the San Diego area.

Pilots and aircrew participating in the flight will be available for interviews on the flight line at MCAS Camp Pendleton at 3:30 p.m. following the flight. Interested media must RSVP with the Miramar Public Affairs Office at (858) 577-6000 or miramarmedia@usmc.mil by 8 a.m. Monday.
