MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif. -- Members of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels demonstration team visited MCAS Miramar today. Col. John Farnam, the commanding officer of MCAS Miramar, greeted the pilots and discussed the upcoming MCAS Miramar Air Show, scheduled for Oct. 4-5.
This year’s air show theme celebrates the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. As the largest military air show in the nation, the show is scheduled to feature military and civilian performers and static aircraft displays from around the world.
Headlining this year’s show is the U.S. Navy Blue Angels demonstration team. Other notable attractions include the Marine Air Ground Task Force demonstration, the F-35B Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter and the Patriots Jet Team.
