16 Jul 2018
MCAS Miramar will host a Change of Command ceremony on Friday, July 20 at 10:00 a.m.

At the ceremony, Col. Jason Woodworth will pass command of the station to Col. Charles Dockery.

During Col. Woodworth’s time at the station, MCAS Miramar was awarded the 2018 Commander-in-Chief’s Award for Installation Excellence and continued to bring MCAS Miramar closer to its San Diego neighbors with innovative projects like the air station’s energy microgrid and land-sharing initiatives such as the Stowe Trail bike path.

Col. Dockery comes to the station from a successful tour as the Chief of Staff for the 1st Marine Air Wing in Okinawa, Japan.
