The commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Col. Jason Woodworth, and the commanding general of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Maj. Gen. Mark Wise, invite the San Diego community to the 2017 MCAS Miramar Air Show, Sept. 22-24.

The theme of this year’s air show is "A Salute to Vietnam Veterans."

"The 2017 MCAS Miramar air show gives the public and current service members an opportunity to say thank you to the veterans of the Vietnam War," said Woodworth. "Our goal is to remind the veterans that the country cares about them and truly values the sacrifice they made for the American people, regardless of how they were treated when they originally returned from Vietnam."
