MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA, Ariz. -- Students and instructors for Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course 2-17 arrived at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Sunday, to take part in the seven-week course.
Hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, students will learn and apply the latest in air-to-air combat, air-to-ground communications and Foreign Humanitarian Assistance tactics.
Highlights of WTI will include a scenario-based, Non-Combatant Evacuation Operation and multiple large-scale, combined arms exercises.
Media will be invited to attend press conferences with the MAWTS-1 commanding officer and the NEO that will take place in Yuma, Arizona, mid-April. Future media advisories will be released with further details for attendance.
