The Marine Corps Energy program on Marine Corps Air Station Miramar is responsible for finding new innovative ways to improve energy efficiency throughout the base at MCAS Miramar, Calif., Dec. 3. The members of the California Public Utilities Commision toured MCAS Miramar’s energy operations center, the micro grid, current energy conservation projects, the flight line and the Miramar landfill, which provides renewable power for the base.
