Active-duty and retired Marines, who employed the TPN-22 and a TPS-73 radar systems, give a final farewell before the systems are inducted into the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Sept. 28. Following an earlier retirement ceremony at MCAS Yuma, the TPN-22 and the TPS-73 radar systems were officially retired and put on display for museum visitors to enjoy. Both radar systems were used for tracking and guiding aircraft in forward deployed scenarios when air traffic control towers were not available. (Marine Corps photo by Sgt. David Bickel/Released)
