A member of the U.S. Navy Leap Frogs parachute team descends while an American flag trails behind him during the opening ceremony of the 2016 MCAS Miramar Air Show aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Sept. 23. After the morning performances, the air show officially kicked-off with an opening ceremony followed by the Marine Air-Ground Task Force demonstration. The MCAS Miramar Air Show showcases world-class performers, military flight demonstration teams, the capabilities of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force and celebrates Miramar’s longstanding relationship with the local San Diego community.
