This emblem marks the spot where the Instrument of Formal Surrender of Japan was signed on the USS Missouri on Sep. 2, 1945. This was just one of the many historical sites the 49 Marines and Sailors visited during a Committed and Engaged Leadership seminar Jan 23-26.
