Lieutenant Colonel Presto
Executive Officer, MCAS Miramar
Lieutenant Colonel Presto was commissioned in the Marine Corps upon graduation from Old Dominion University in 1991. He was designated a Naval Aviator in September 1995.
Lieutenant Colonel Presto served as a CH-46 Pilot at HMM-262, MCAS Futenma, Japan from 1996-1997. Then from 1997-1998 he served with MAG-36 and from 1998-2000 deployed with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit as a pilot with HMM-265.
In 2000, he transferred to Marine Corps Base Quantico and was assigned to Officer Candidate School, where he served as a Company Commander.
From 2001 until 2004 Lieutenant Colonel Presto was assigned to HMM-268, MAG-39, 3d Marine Air Wing where he served as a CH-46 Pilot and Operations Officer during OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM I.
In 2004, Lieutenant Colonel Presto attended the Command and Staff College at Marine Corps Base, Quantico.
In 2005, Lieutenant Colonel Presto reported to Marine Helicopter Squadron One serving as an Operational Test Pilot until 2009.
From 2009-2012 Lieutenant Colonel Presto commanded the Headquarters and Headquarters Service Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station, Camp Pendleton.
In 2012, Lieutenant Colonel Presto reported to the Command Element, III Marine Expeditionary Force, where he served as a Japan Engagement and Exercise Officer.
Lieutenant Colonel Presto reported to Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar in 2015 where he is assigned as the Station Executive Officer.
